Namul (Korean vegetable side dish – 3 types)

Bean sprout Namul

Ingredients:

200g of bean sprout
1 tablespoon of salt
[A]
A pinch of salt
A pinch of pepper
1 tablespoon of Carwari Toasted Sesame oil
2 tablespoons of Carwari Hulled Sesame
1 teaspoon of Grated garlic (optional)
1 teaspoon of Soy Sauce (optional)

Direction:

  1. Put bean sprouts into a pot and add water until it reaches the height of bean sprouts.
  2. Sprinkle salt and cover the pot. Cook it for 6 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and drain it with a colander and wash it with water and drain it and squeeze excess water
  4. Put 3 into a bowel and add [A] in it. Mix it well

Carrot Namul

Ingredients:

1 carrot
A pinch of Chilli powder
1tablepoon of Sugar
1 tablespoon of Vinegar
1 Tablespoon of Carwari Roasted Sesame Seeds
A pinch of salt

Direction:

  1. Cut the carrot into juliennes strips
  2. Mix them with salt and squeeze excess water.
  3. Add Chilli powder, sugar, vinegar and sesame seeds and mix well.

Spinach Namul

Ingredients:

200g of spinach
[B]
2 teaspoons of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of Carwari Toasted Sesame Oil
1 Tablespoon of Carwari Roasted Sesame Seeds
1/2 teaspoon of grated garlic (optional)
A pinch of salt

Direction:

  1. Put spinach into boiled water and cook it for a short time. Then soak it in water.
  2. Cut it into 5cm length and drain it well. Add [B] and mix them well.

*Don’t over cook spinach.
